Halloumi Salad with Demeter

This recipe is an ideal for these that want to take a day off meat and is also the perfect dish for the whole family on a hot night.

  • 720g Halloumi cheese (180g per serve)
  • 500g Green beans (trimmed)
  • 200g Asparagus
  • 200g Cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
  • Handful of pea shoots
  • 100g Peas
  • 2-3 Tbsp Demeter – Gourmet Jalapeno Herb Hot Sauce
  • Salt & Pepper to season
  • Few leaves of mint & basil
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil


Bring a pan of water to the boil and once boiling turn down to a high heat and season with salt.

Once boiling add the green beans and cook for 3 minutes and then and the asparagus and cook for another minute and then peas for 30 seconds. Drain them in a large bowl of iced cold water to prevent them from overcooking.

Place a non-stick frying pan on a medium-high heat. When hot, add the oil and coat the pan with the oil. Next, cook the halloumi 2-3 minutes each side.

Next, drain the beans and asparagus and dress with Demeter gourmet jalapeno herb hot sauce in a large bowl.

To plate up pop your asparagus and beans down and going each way with cherry tomatoes, pea shoots around and peas, pop your halloumi on the top and serve
